As some of you, I've been working with Planting Justiceā€”a community organization that provides affordable food to local communities while offering full-time, green jobs to formerly incarcerated individuals.In the past 5 years, Planting Justice has built nearly 400 edible gardens, taught food justice curriculum to thousands of Oakland youth, and helped 20 formerly incarcerated men transition from San Quentin State Prison into full-time, salaried positions.
